Ways to Work Program

Ways to Work offers loans up to $4,000 to eligible working parents in New Castle County for the purchase or repair of a used car. This program is a partnership with PNC Bank who makes and administers the loans. Loan applicants work with the Program Director to prepare a loan application, which is approved by NGCDC’s Loan Committee. To qualify for the loan, borrowers must participate in personal money management, safe driving workshops, and participate in credit repair during the 24-month loan repayment period.

This program started in January 2004 and has approved 120 loans to date. To find out more about the Ways to Work program, check out the National Ways to Work Website.
